Picture The Rat Patrol from Montana
My bike is a Schwinn Jaguar with a 66cc Grubee Skyhawk. I ride this bike all year long. Even in the snow. I use it to go to the store and ride it down our new 4 mile long bike path that leads to the lake. I am currently finishing my sidecar project. I'll be entering it in our parade and car show set for next month. Take a look at my album and see the progress I've made. The pics of the bike in white trim were taken before I painted it medium desert tan.

Picture My motorized bike with 2 seats
I made this from a cheap bike (about $70), the engine cost me $180 from a local dealer, added a front seat for my kid, with footrest of course.

Picture Three Wheel Power
This is a three wheel ten speed with a 4 cycle motor that can be used at the same time or separately. Lever on the side of the seat is gas, both rear breaks and parking break. 10 speed shift levers are under the front of the seat and the kill switch is on the side. The bike is very quiet thanks to the two mufflers and an expansion chamber. The box on the back is just to hide the motor. Bike is about 39" wide, 34" high, and 83" long and will go about 20 MPH with out pedaling. There is another sprocket that can be slid over for more speed but the way it's set up now I can go slow, through grass, and up hills.

Picture Homemade Rack Mount Litespeed Obed Titanium
I just finished this rear mount project a few days ago. I took the engine off my front rack mount Rocky Mountain RM7 full suspension rig to test out the difference between front & rear drive. This one also uses a Vbelt but with a Whizzer sheave and is geared more for high speed than low end. I pedal along with the motor up till I spin-out @ around 30mph (53/16 gearing & 700c wheel w/175 cranks) and then let the motor take over. So far so good...Lots of fun getting aero and riding this one. My next project may be a Frame mount or Bottom bracket mount to get the weight down low in the frame...I'd say the biggest drawback of both my front & rear engine rack mounts so far is the high weight cg...

Picture Two Staton Friction Drives
I built this bike about a year and a half ago and before day had passed my wife said she wanted a motor also. We've had great luck with these bikes. The light blue bike is my wife's (leopard seat cover!); the other is mine. We have a couple of hundred miles on them, if that, as of this posting. I expect to add another 400 miles to mine soon.

Picture Porkchop's Fiction Drive Schwinn Suburban
This is my first build. A Schwinn Suburban that I've had for about 6 years. I had only 5 miles on this bike until 2 days ago. I have a Grubee kit I was going to install, but decide not to because it was going to involve to much custom fabrication. I didn't want to chop up this "like brand new" bike. Decided to go with the friction drive set up from Bikemotorparts.com No particular reason why I went with them. A very simple kit to install. Took about an hour. I spent more time replacing gear shifts and all cables and adjusting the gears than I did installing the drive kit. I already had a brand new Harbor Freight engine, another determining factor as to why I went with the friction drive set up. Kit seems to be sturdy and of good quality. Tme will tell about the drive kit and the engine. I kept my bike clean and simple. No mods other than rapid fire shifters to give me more room on the handle bars for the throttle lever, and a new rear mounted kick stand, which both work great. I had twist grip shifter which I always hated anyway. Just a "plain Jane" sweet and simple build. Hopefuly it will give many miles of safe, reliable fun !!! And as someone else said, "A centrifigal clutch is your friend" !
