Hi I am still new to this site, but I found a 1960 Firestone 500 II for sale. Seller says it's in excellent condition and wants $175. I am not a collector and I can get a new Schwinn Searcher for about the same price. What kind of PRO's or CON's can anyone give me? I am going to look at the Firestone this a.m., but I am not interested in paying way too much for the 48 year old bike.

Specialized FSR XC with lots and lots of upgrades...well over $2000 into bike not including GEBE setup....Everything on bike works Perfect! The GEBE is Frame mounted for easier maintenance. I weigh about 175 and top out about 32-35mph depending on weather. The motor is the Tanaka 32cc with the 15mm tanaka upgraded carburetor. I have both the regular gear and the highway gear with setup, I also have an extra HTD belt. I've decided to give up on motored biking and to that end, I no longer have an engine. I have therefore decided to put up the rest of the mounting kit for sale. This 'deal' is for the entire kit, not to be sold piece by piece. The Andyinchville disc mount gear with anodized hard coat alone costs about $75. You can get everything in 1 shot. Please note that unless you can come pick up the entire bicycle, I'm only talking about the mounting kit plus a Titan gearbox. thanks esteban,i could have done with your forks maybe a week before i went on a shopping spree and it took the third attempt for me to get it right. I am posting this to see if anyone is interested in forks otherwise i will just hold on to them for future builds. The first fork is a decent entry level by rockshox dart 2, opened the box and whoops wrong size steerer its 1 1/8, i needed the 1 inch. I will sell this for $70 + shipping. I'm selling my 80cc happy time motor with the following upgrades, boost bottle, high performance pocket bike carb with adapter (carb is fully adjustable with high and low speed jets), velocity stack with performance air filter and a OEM pocket bike exhaust. this thing rips. I built this bike using a kit. The kit was advertised as an 80cc, but realistically it’s around 69cc i think. 2 stroke. Runs great. tops out at around 25 mph. Engine only has around 50 miles on it. I’ve been running a rich mix for the break in period, mileage is about 80mpg. With a less rich mix most likely more. I wired a full 12v lighting system to it (headlight, taillight, brake light). uses a separate battery, so that has to be charged separately. Has a Schwinn digital speedometer. gets lots of compliments and turns lots of heads. I welded a support for a front brake, but haven’t hooked it up yet. I'm passing on a project that I never started. The bike is a GT mountainbike frame with new tires tubes and alloy wheels. The seat is off of a classic schwinn cruiser bike, super springy and comfy. The bike's frame is 55cm, but it can accomodate to a taller rider. (i'm 6ft) The size is probably not ideal for a happy time, but would make for a badass GEBE or rack mount build. I'd be very excited to see the final product! My local buyer couldn't come up with all the money.... So it's up for sale again. This kit has less than 2 hours on it. I purchased this kit from Staton for about $500 shipped. $425 shipped to your door (motor kit only, not the bike). Or you're welcome to make an offer, and we'll see what we can do. It has the 1.25 roller, dual engaging supports, lever throttle, and kill switch. Only 1.5 tanks of fuel have been run through it, and it runs like a charm. Hey, anything is better than those stock china plugs, right? I have here a bunch of NGK B7HV Gold-Palladium Non-Fouling spark plugs. Apparently, these are no longer in production. I called the local Kragen, and their computers listed them at $9 each, but not available even for order. So, I went online and scored a box of five off eBay. I figure one plug should last until the engine gives out and I can buy a four-stroke, so I have four B7HV plugs to get rid of. How does $7 each, shipped to the continental U.S. sound? Hi Gang, Dude here, A cool guy from Georgia just bought my 2005 NE5 but the bike has a broken rt rear turn signal housing. Obviously it is the old-style bullet shaped, chrome plastic one. Does anybody have/know how to get this part for a good price. I will take it and send it to him. Thanks.
