Photos & Bicycle Builds

Pictures of motorized bike projects and bike builds. Vote for the best build!
Here's a fun little topic, we get to see more pictures. The way it works is, the poster, (me) post a picture of my bike with some item. Then the challenger post a picture of their bike with the same (very similar) item. Then the challenger post a second picture of their bike with a new item for the next challenger to match. My first one I'll make easy my bike and a car. GO!
i just want to share what bike i build. this is my current setup (show in the picture locked on bike parking lot at my work) it has - CARBON FIBER MOUNTAIN BIKE FRAME with reinforced steel mountings (i designed it to hold the engine instead of mounting the engine to the frame) - disc brakes - modified jack shaft kit with frame reinforcements - 7 speed - customized enduro style EXTENDED fenders with fender frame ( i designed it to hold the rear fenders so that the fender will not move during riding) - centralized electrical ( headlights, taillights, BRAKE LIGHT, horn), im going to put some built in phone chargers to it soon i got time - ELECTRIC ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM - a fabricated stand which i designed for it to have a enduro style...
Hello! Here is my build in case that could be useful for any other newbie as I am: First day of build, lesson learned: gas inside home stinks... Just after the first ride, still with two brake levers First upgrade: banana seat and double brake lever. Last upgrade: Hi-rise handlebar
Hi Me and my friend are getting 80cc kits for our bikes so we can ride around on them. My friend already got the Kent La Jolla cruiser, and he will be motorizing it. I was wondering if these kits would actually fit in the 24 inch Cranbrook opposed to the 26 inch. Has anyone motorized the 24 inch version? Thanks! http://www.walmart.com/ip/24-Huffy-Boys-Cranbrook-Cruiser-Bike-Burgundy/12509647
Its been some time since i've posted. Wanted to say "what's up!" to the MB RIDERs and post some new pics. 700+ miles in, running HONDA Syn-blend oil and no major issues. I love this thing. I'm between building another with the same kit or going EZM... Decisions, desicions. Thx.
I have been helped with some good ideas and suggestions from several people on this forum and the way this form is handled is very much respected by me. I have contribuited very little in return so I thought posting pictures of my bikes and passing on a few thoughts maybe of some interest. This is my Tour Easy which seems to be a very fine bike. The custom drive system with nine gears allows a rider to climb just about any hill on standard roadways ( not good for off road riding ). traveling on level roads at 30 mph is also handled very well. The little Subaru engine turns at a fairly low rpm so the rider just hears a low rpm humm from the motor. As you can see, the motor is under the seat and can be hand started while sitting...
Ok, I am planning a first build. I currently use 2 different ebikes and while I like them, there are speed power and range limitations that I think a gas bike will solve. I don't want to do a standard build and I want to push the limits of motored bike building and possibly expand it to a business model including an illustrated e-book and possibly a building and consulting business after I build and refine it. Therefore I am going to throw out my preliminary ideas and see what everyone thinks. This is what I want build: Frame: cruiser or downhill mountain type, hard tail with disc brake fittings and fender and tail rack compatabile Fork, spring or pneumatic suspension with disc brake fittings wide for wide tires and hardware...
I messed up my motor by running it too lean. When I took it apart and measured the piston I realized I only had a 47.7cc motor. The good news about building a full suspension bike is the two tensioners worked great, I probably put at least 3000 miles on it without any chain problems. I'll be replacing the motor with a zeda 80 , triple 40
Hey guys, after meeting this community and completing my first build through your guys help I decided to start an instagram page devoted to shouting out other bike enthusiasts and their custom builds to bring awareness to this hidden hobby. If you guys could please stop by and check out my gallery I would be honored anything above that would be a bonus. Thanks for all the help and getting me addicted to such an amazing hobby! Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself and share my first MB build. I can't express how thankful I am for this site and its wealth of info.. I feel like I was able to avoid a lot of pitfalls as a result of your contributions. This is a 63' Schwinn Corvette which I stripped, sanded and painted and installed a Zeda80 motor. I'm almost done with the first tank/break in and I couldn't be happier. Thanks! MatZ
Been member here for quite a few years, though site does not show that information, back from beginning days... Latest might be 20" folding bike, using T-33 etc transfer from current CF rig just to experiment. Bikes from beginning are Rail Bike GEBE kit, Honda 25 great bike, engine but not enough torque to go up hill without hustle. Recumbent, Tanaka 33 had torque, too hard to get going. Gruv CF perfect, with T-33. Custom Sinz throttle lever, can start on fly. Now may build 20" folder with T-33 etc.
Okay so we have...a 26"..Steel Rims...nice sturdy frame. Genuine Scwhinn bike...7-speed. #41 roller chain from fleet farm. I added fully adjustable mirrors...they swing on a pivot..I can slide them up and down the shaft and they tilt! I added a custom arch tensioner..My friend lynn came up with the idea. It's sweet! And im going to be adding a chrome air filter...eventually upgrade the carb...going to add lights...and hopefully a vintage needle speedometer! Some other upgrades too but here's what I got! (My motor broke near the sprocet cover :( first time it's happened out of 30 some builds) Weird...I dont care... it works! My finest build....my original tesnioner was a homemade spring loaded one..now it's the arch and i ride around on...
It’s been a while since I last posted, but I’ve made some new additions to the mini chopper. I welded a kickstand to the engine mount and added a wrench to the bottom of it for a better footing. Welded some pedals to my already existing foot pegs to allow a wider stance while riding. Welded some brackets up for head light and tail light. Both lights came off a Harley Davidson and my blinkers are from an old farm tractor. The headlight fixture is actually a stainless steel soup pot. Haha I still have to wire up the lights and blinkers, anyone have a video or diagram on how to wire up the blinkers and lights so they do what they are supposed to do? Also, I’m contemplating replacing the 50cc motor I have on the bike with a bt80 electric...
So while I was workin on the shelby, a friend (luke "pigpen" brown) was throwing together this machine. He had dragged the donor bike down from san jose, along with style influences from our good friend sloppy "kidricer" sin. Wanting immediate satisfaction, threw the kit on as fast as he could. Of course the bike had no brakes or crank or chain, but it looked like a hoot as he circled it around in front of the shop during the break-in period in the middle of the night. He has some tricks up his sleeve with the seating arrangement, tank and who knows what else. I think he'll get me on the straightaways, but i'll take him in the corners... TP
I have just seen this video on the Xterrain500 and I think immense tire size is meant to give a lot of surface area and therefore a load of float to the bike. I know fatbikes are capable of going in all sorts of terrains like sand and deep snow, but the Xterrain 500 is the first one to offer such a large front wheel. What do you think? <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif;">
