Photos & Bicycle Builds

Pictures of motorized bike projects and bike builds. Vote for the best build!
Here's a fun little topic, we get to see more pictures. The way it works is, the poster, (me) post a picture of my bike with some item. Then the challenger post a picture of their bike with the same (very similar) item. Then the challenger post a second picture of their bike with a new item for the next challenger to match. My first one I'll make easy my bike and a car. GO!
Howdy Fellas. Picked up a brand new Mongoose Sting for no other reason than the price was remarkably right and I was righteously bored. It Looked perfect the other night when I picked it up but come morning(afternoon) the next day, the bike seemed to of shrunk while my head felt extremely swollen as if it were trying to make up the difference. Did a few measurements, nursed my wounds, and came to the sad realization that by no stretch of the imagination would a Happytime fit in this frame . Not a stock HT anyways. Started by taking 1/2 an inch of the front motor mount and another 1/2 inch of the rear. This allowed the engine to sit a little lower in the frame and without the air filter attached. the engine...
Headed down to the liqour store,. gonna flog a few wreaths while I'm there. Cover the cost of the whiskey anyways!!!??!!! hahaha actually picked up a quick $80 in less than an hour last night . haha you gotta love it And a couple pics of my work bike. notice the rack and trailer hitch. toolbox up front. ~G~
Howdy Fellas. Got this Sidecar last Sunday. Motorized it after Sunday's dinner. Burnt a tank and a half of gas by 3 a.m. Monday morning. Sidecar is extremely stable yet the bike itself was pretty hairy to ride due in part I think to having front suspension when you're unable to lean into the corners. Also needed to be realigned and towed in maybe. All in all , I was quite happy at the way it handled and performed with my brother and I (425 pounds combined) on it. We took turns putting it though its paces for approx. 4 hours and a 12 pack of Hieneken. This was between 11 pm and 3 am last Sunday night so traffic was negligable and we took her up, down, and around every obstacle we could find. The biggest...
hey guys ! just started a new project. haven't yet purchased anything as i am still desinging the thing, thinking about the mechanisms, ways to build etc. who hasnt been thinking about a better bike kit? not me. i'd like to make a kind of kit that you strap on your bike's fork and just put a pocket bike engine, or make the whole fork with the mounts and mechanism that youd put on your bike. well thats what i want to build! my first bike was a 40cc chainsaw rear wheel friction drive. it was very good on several points: -simple; just a chainsaw with a friction drive mounted on a plywood mount -light; the whole motorisation added under 10kg/20lbs to the bike -still a good bicycle; the engine caused zero friction when not used...
Finally got it all together now. Drove it down to the lake, & buried the speedo. (40 mph) I was really suprised. Not even broken in yet, so ought to do at least 45 or so after a couple of tanks. Just a Chinese 49cc with a velocity stack, better exhaust, & a torque converter. I put a solo seat on for now, but have a custom bannana being upholstered. It will be ready next week.
My motor is finally purchased...i went with the pre sale option at $109 ,delivery im not sure when will take place..This will be somewhat of a slow build as im only expecting to invest so much per month towards the build and im in no hurry anyways..lol You can find this particular motor and alot more sold through ZedaMotorsports.com Expect lots of before and after pics of the build. Ill start with bottom end and show more as it happens. So, heres the game plan for the bottom end build...To start, the motor will be taken apart and inspected prior to the changes and thoroughly cleaned. (Bottom end) 1. Balanced crank (Zeda factory) 2. Lightened rod and pin 4 RB Tech 6202 2RS C3 (ABEC 3) premium crank and clutch bearings. 4. Upgrade...
Here we are at last with some progress to show/report. This is a Cranbrook frame from the ground up. The rear section is leaving later today in exchange for a more traditional "hardtail" replacement. The color will remain "hotrod black" except maybe the 1 gal. tank. It may be doctored a bit. The tires are 3x26 Kenda Flames. In the front is a HUSKY 2.25x26 with a S/A drum brake and out back will be a 2.25x26 S/A 3sp 165mm wide from Firebelly Cycles (thanks Evan). It will be powered by a Honda GXH50 and a Comet TAV2 convertor. Im starting the hardtail tonight....wish me luck.
I want the community of bike builders to help me with my next bicycle project. First, I have to say that I have already a 66cc motor that is straight out of the box and was thinking about replacing the needle bearing, along with the pin that it goes in (sorry i cant remember the name of it at the moment. I consider my self to be a newbie still). I am also thinking about the G2-A frame, but other that that the options are all yours. Also thinking about adding an electric motor in the front to help with hill climbing. I also want to keep it within a reasonable budget, of say 1000 dollars. What else should I add to the build? Help me decide please.
Here's my Cranbrook build. What a freaking learning experience 😆 🙂 Jan 2020 project started 2021: SKIP looks different everyday with new parts from stuff breaking 🤯😆. Ok just one photo Now 2022: Not tampering with it anymore it runs great finally after 2 years 🙂
Hello everyone. I'm new here so I decided to post my bike. As the title states, its a Huffy Cranbrook. I bought the 66cc engine the same day as the bike. Upgrades are: 32t sprocket, nt speed carb with filter, ported cylinder, piston trimmed and ramped. Expansion chamber. Next will be to get a dellorto, high compression head, and occ fork.
