Finished another one Saturday PM 3/8/08 80cc HT. Only put 2 miles on it. Too early to tell what bugs I need to work out. Special features are toggled kill switch from blue wire (not shorting magneto) Added front caliper brake. Added tail light, blinkers, brake light. (not professional quality, purchased from ebay. Work great though) 64 spoke wheels. Horn, 72 LED headlight. Wireless speedometer, mirror, clutch lever roller modification (designed by Large Filipino) bearing chain tensioner from dax. Quality plug wire and boot. 19 hrs. labor. 10th build, they get easier the more I do. Please everyone, keep building and saturate the market to responsible riders. We need "power" in numbers. Its the way of the future. graucho

We hope to be able to contibute to this forum as well.
Just put it together Sunday night, and have been breaking it in slowly. It's a Gary Fisher Tassajara that I've had for 2 years. It's pretty quick so far with the Mitsubishi motor, and hopefully I'm breaking it in correctly. But... I don't feel like I'm getting the roller on the rear tire correctly though. Either that or my tires are really soft. Any suggestions on the roller setup or the break-in? Thanks.
i picked up the occ off of a radio call in for 30$ last year for my middle son. the youngest 2 went back with the ex for school year. so i decided to do a little swaping of parts. we have a mini chopper that never realy ran right. so i took the front off to see if it would work on the occ and what would you know it fits like a glove. now have to save up for another motor and an occ kit.
Here's a few pics of by build. The first two are the donor bike in the state I found it. The second two are what I have done so far. A little srubbing with brillo pads and some paint make a big difference. Still a long way to go, but it is fun to document it. Thanks for the Inspiration!! Scorpio
Hey everyone. Sorry I never really got a chance to share. I finally took a few pics. Both are HT's, but luckily, they've been running great ever since building them a few months back. I know, HT and Moondog, both together,............scary !! Alan
Finally, she is done... I will take her all apart to paint her in a day or two, but I was too excited about riding my new bike, so it will have to wait. I threw a spin on the MB theme I guess, but it turned out pretty good I think. The tubing is easily removed from the seat post and I will most likely use plastic zip ties to run the throttle cable so it can be removed if need be. The engine is a Briggs & Stratton 6.5 horsepower horizontal shaft with a 12 tootth clutch and the live axle holds a 42 tooth sprocket. The tubing seems to rotate easily on the seat post making for easier turning. I have about 10 miles of riding on it so far, and all seems to be going well with it. Will have to figure out MPG's sometime soon, but it...
Today I fired up my bike for the first time. I bought a 61' sears flightliner off of craigs list a few weeks ago and I finally got the chance to throw an engine on it this weekend. I made an album with some pics of the bike and some of the mods I did: http://motoredbikes.com/album.php?albumid=166 I would like to thank all the members for the good tips that I used during the build. I will assuredly have a happy time!
I took my first ride tonight it was great, I did it under the cover of night and traveled only 2 blocks. I still need to adjust the carb a little, there is more power in there I know it! Anyway here are some photos, I don't consider it done yet it will probably be a work in process for a long time. BTW: the wing nuts are already gone.
Woot!! Took a 100 yrds or so to fill up the float but it started right up and I hardly looked down to see that everything was okay. Kill switch even works, ha. I don't feel any vibration. I knew I was saving the Brooks for a special occassion. Not sure how you guys use the strap to make a muffler support but I'm not thinking it needs it. the 50 tooth sprocket is great for low end torque but the 44 or 40 is better for economy and speed and hopefully i can get rid of the stupid tensioner. BTW, the new chain loosened up big time in just 15 minutes ride time. I lucked out-I got a good engine (knock wood) jon
my first build, i was gonna go with a chain drive system but the pull start broke and then the clutch broke. so I was forced to friction drive it. runs really well do 40ish on the flats if your butt can handle the vibrations. I used a 20in bmx bike from wal mart 43 bucks. and 50 bucks for a used McCulloch Timber Bear 55cc chainsaw, still needs paint and a real tank, buts its only been done for about 3 days. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b386/AnidoriKiladra/DSCF0647.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b386/AnidoriKiladra/DSCF0648.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b386/AnidoriKiladra/DSCF0649.jpg
