Beach sand riding

Cool, you have a nice route to ride on. Ever take it out on the sand?

Thanks for asking that SideShow>>>>>

Yeah ,Just the once -& What a ride !!!

Rode from Henley beach to Largs Bay along the beach,
It was Crazy/scary/fun..
My choke constantly needed to be moved into correct position due to the MAD vibration..
The water had made DEEP 4 inch ruts in the sand- almost a bike length in width.

So i was lifting the front wheel over them continually at 47km/h letting the back wheel cut through them, all while trying to keep the choke right ...

Before i knew it I was at Largs Bay -NOISY AS , my MUFFLER was hanging on by 1 bolt, one of my indicator lenses had fallen off
-- and i was exhausted....

My fore arms were lactated up big time...

I rested for 1/2hr fixed muffler on as best i could and rode home ..

Got home to find the DAKAR rally was to start that night on SBS (2007)
Man-- thumbs up to them guys!!

That was the one and only beach ride i have done..
And i'll never forget it...

Made blue wire kill switch

Hi
Yeah,
rigged up blue wire kill switch tonight,
will add to 48cc tomorrow.

Used a switch from a busted massage cushion ..

Hence the HEAT.

Also noted that the OHM reading between ------
Black
&
Blue =
1.2 Mega Ohms

Hi
What a day!!!
Just clocked the fastest speed with the 48cc in this frame.

51.4Km/h.
Tapley's Hill Rd
Glenelg North
Super still (calm before the storm)

Went to try again, and got DRENCHED.
Fist time i've riden in such rain,
BRAKE FADE to the extreme.

on another note,
the last of my parts arrived today , so i'll finally rebuild my 66cc again..
new rings,
head gasket
piston
barrel
head
&
gudgeon pin bush.

take care all & ride safe.
