I've been looking into motorized bikes for a while now, but I didn't have the money until recently. Now that I can afford it, I've been looking around a bit more. I've been lurking for a few weeks here as a guest. Before I registered, I thought of so many ways of hooking the engine up the the bike while using the gears on the bike already. That is, until I saw this forum, where ghost0's jackshaft completely blew my mind.

I can't drive yet, and this is both cool and efficient, so why not?
I'm going to a vocational school, I'm in the machining and welding shop.. I've taken 2 years of classes so far, (1 week on 1 week off) and hopefully that's enough for me to make some of the parts I'll need for this thing.
I talked to ghost0 immediately when I registered, and I think I have down exactly what I have to do and buy. I plan on making one for me, and possibly some for my friends if they pitch in their labor too.
Also, I have some friends in the auto body shop at my school, they said that they can hook me up with an awesome paint job for free...
While I'm building it, I'm going to thoroughly document the process, and post a guide on Instructables.com. If you visit there often, you may know me from the pneumatic cannon or hidden key. I'll make sure to give credit to this forum, and to refer them to buy ghost0's upcoming kit.

Basically, be expecting some greaaattt stuff out of me :D
