Young and Old love the sound of a Whizzer.

Had to tell you guys something funny. I manage a 55 and older senior home association in Bothell Washington called Wandering Creek. After building my Whizzer the obvious place to make my test runs was within the walls of our 300 home gated community. As a property manager I have the unfortunate duty of writing violation letters to up-hold our covenants and bylaws, because of this I was quite reluctant to run my non-mufflered Whizzer in the Park. Its been a couple of weeks of riding around becoming familiar with how the bike works mechanically and getting everything how I want before painting. During this time I cant tell you how many residents have run out into the street or stopped me in their car and begged me for information regarding my machine and the new Whizzers. Not one of these residents including members of the board of directors has once mentioned the obvious fact that its loud, infact I usually hear a positive remark about how good it sounds. Many of our residents have disclosed to me their regrets about never purchasing a kit as a child and they're so happy to hear that the company is still manufacturing them. Its true, young and old, everyone loves a Whizzer.

Well maybe they don't care that it's loud cause they lost some of their hearing lol!:D

i have a problem with my un-mufflered whizzer backfiring - people think its gunshots.

but the sound is what gets people to come and see what it is!

Just a quick suggestion for everyone. Purchase the hi-flow muffler insert and the sound will get even better. Most of the time [95%] the insert will help the performance both top-end and mid-range. During the initial testing of the insert 2 of the bikes had the same top-end but more mid range torque. One motor dropped 1 MPH on the top end, and 3 of the test Whizzers actually gained 1 MPH on the top. Reguardless of the test results, everyone agrees the sound is outstanding. Order from your nearest Whizzer dealer or I have many in stock if needed.

I can attest to that. I have a hi-flow insert in my 2005 NE5 and it does sound really good. Kinda like half a Harley...

Hi Masterlink,

Whizzer has 3 different sizes. The original pipe on the WC-1 and early NE motors has an O.D. of 25.8 MM [1"], and the current NE and SE [Ambassador motor] has a pipe O.D. of 31.6 MM. The Ambassador pipe is much shorter than the NE pipe.
Hope this answers your questions,
Have fun,
Quenton
