Hoi! Saw a motored bike for sale on CL for Oahu and decided to research the bugger a bit more and found this forum. Great info! 
I currently ride an 03 Geely 2 stroke scooter for work. A 4 mile round trip. Yeah, not much, but it's got a pretty good hill and my back won't allow me to ride a bike like I used to. I also have an 06 Dayang 4 stroke scooter as a "project"....a long term project.
Anyway, being I'm in "paradise" and the weather is boringly great, I've been wanting to get back on my bike for that short commute, and also get a little excercise while I'm at it. I heard about "power assisted" bikes, but never knew motorized bikes was such a serious "hobby". This is great! I just may have found a way to get around the Winter surf traffic jam on the North Shore.
