Hi everyone. I've searched but don't seem to be able to find any reference to this. I was wondering does anyone know where you can buy the long muffler I've seen on some bikes? I think they look great but don't know what they would cost or anything. If someone has some links to vendors I would sure appreciate it.

thanks,

edit: ok can anyone point me to a link where people made their own? I'm still looking

That would be the poo poo pipe you are asking about. Dax might have one or check Mike Simpson. I think they are around 100 bucks... Do you have a Kart shop in your town? I'm pulling the motor off my old Schwinn Suburban and putting on the Schinn Point Beach, I think the Kart shop is willing to make me a custom setup. Just check for go-carts in your yellow pages.

Thanks for getting back with me. I will check Dax and see if they have one. I will have to check about the Kart shop. Thanks for the directions. $100 is kind of ouch though... maybe that's why I don't see many around :)

thanks for the help

At this point I would like to ask a question. What if you did a home made straight pipe. Is that bad for the engine? My neighbor is a welder and I know that he could make one for me. I just don't know if there is a down side to doing it. I would appreciate everyone's thoughts on this...

thanks

edit: sorry if this is just a plain stupid question folks, but I really don't know. thanks for the help

They seem to call all their pipes poo poo. If you mean the pipe that looks like a real motorbike pipe with silencer they cost US$80 and are hard to get cos I think they stopped making them. The one I got in March (shown in picture) was the last one at bicycle-engines.com. They may get more in. They came in chrome and black steel and it sounds good but I'm wondering if it may be the reason I struggle on hills. I still have the poo poo pipe it came with cos that's part of the kit. You'll see them on the China Gas website so whoever imports from there can get them. I fixed it at the end with two stainless hose clips and it looks great that way and doesn't jiggle about. They stop you having a panier because of the heat of the pipe but they do look lovely on a classic cruiser.
