Hi all,
Just joined the forum, will be building a bike using a motor kit from Power King shop.

Will be building on a Mountain bike 26" frame.

Should be getting the kit soon.

Lots of good information in the forums, thanks everyone for all the hard work posting!

Live in the ELK River MN area.

regards,
Bob Reichmuth:D

Welcome Bob. Glad to see another neighbor on the forum. I'm in the Princeton area. I sometimes ride one of my bikes to Elk River Dunn Bros for a latte. Best of luck with your build.

Hi all,
Thanks for the warm welcomes. Was wondering how all have handled the "legal" issues with the MBs. Have any of you licensed them as Mopeds?

Just wondering?
Regards,
Bob

Hey Bob,
I haven't licensed my bikes and probably won't unless I'm forced to do so. Usually when I go by a sheriff he just waves or gives me a thumbs up. I haven't had any problems at all with the law hassling me.

Hi All,
Well, have installed the 2 stroke from Powerking shop. Got it started, but it won't idle, and when I give it gas, it bogs down. Not sure whats wrong? thought it was a throttle cable issuebut looks like its move the slide up and down in the carb. I took the air cleaner off and twisted the throttle and the slide was moving up and down, what I think is ok. Any suggestions on what might be the culprit. Have to keep pedaling to keep the engine running. Good workout, but not the reason I got the engine!! LOL.

Thanks in advance,
Bob

Hello Bob, I have done pedaling to keep the engine running too. your right, not fun. I found my gas shut off on the tank wasn't working. Installed another one inline, Now it's not flooding anymore.
As far as when and/ if legal issues arrive, Mn charm goes along way.

Good luck to you.
Ridin the north metro.

Thanks George I'll check that out.

I'm getting alot of fuel coming out the pipe also. I've taken that off and I'm trying it out. Also, drained the carb bowl, took out the spark plug dried it off, it was wet with fuel. Still the same issue though, pedal like crazy to keep it running! Wife now thinks I'm really nuts!

Thanks again,
Bob R
