Sprockets Anyone using a rear sprocket on the hub?

I have just ordered my Dax kit, so no experience with it yet. BUT, seems to me one of the weak points of the kits in general is the flexing of the spoke mounted sprocket. Has anyone used a rear hub for disc brakes to bolt up their rear sprocket? That would be much straighter/truer, and much stronger, I would think. Any sources for an inexpensive rear disc brake hub or wheel? I've seen them on some of the Chinese mountain bikes, but haven't looked lately.
 
yes it's been done. Also there are those with pull start motors who run freewheel hubs. Sponsors to your left <---- have 'em.

Fret not over the clamshell setup being a weak point though. It's actually a fairly flexible solution that so far seems to work pretty well in my experience.
