I get my Staton friction drive Honda GXH50 in tomorrow or Wednesday. The problem is that I still need to get a bike to put it on. I went to a local bike store and tried out both the Raleigh Mojave 5.0 and the Giant Rincon. I liked them both. Would there be any issues mounting the kit I ordered to either? I need help deciding...

I have the Station friction drive on a Raleigh Mojave mountain bike -- had to shorten one support bracket so as to connect it to the rear disk brake -- one cut - one drilled hole. Time took for install close to an hour. You know how it works - if done again prox time would be 35 minutes. I like the ride on my MB a lot !! Happy Riding from - Mountainman

tough choice. idk

fwiw i just slapped the staton friction kit on a specialized hardrock sport. fit like a glove.

I just bought the Mojave 5.0

Did you buy the extra support bracket ? If you have two brackets - the one that attaches to the disc brake side - will be shortened and re-drilled so as to connect to the left allen bolt holding the disk brake - - I used the same bolt - BUT - should buy a longer one so as to make up the difference lost.. NOTE - I don't see the 5.0 on my Mojave - don't know what that stands for ? Happy Riding from - Mountainman

I bought this exact kit ... http://www.staton-inc.com/Details.asp?ProductID=3206

the only option it gave me was the roller size, I went with 1 3/8'' because I have lots of hills.

yes - tghastin -- I checked it out - it comes with the duel supports. With my set up - the second support cost extra -- I have the Subaru 1.6 hp and you are getting the Honda 2.5 I think it was.. That's almost an extra horse !! Should hit 30 mph no problem !! I have owned a lot of Honda engines in my life - never wore one out - - you are in for some GOOD TIMES !!! I needed to stay under 2 hp so as to keep with the Ca law regarding motorized bicycles (no drivers license needed) - so many say anyway ?? Happy Riding from - Mountainman

Thanks mountainman, you have been a huge help in this process of collecting parts for the build. Me and some friends are going to be putting it together this saturday. I'll post up some pics/vids of the finished product. I think its going to be amazing!
