The INDESTRUCTABLE spokeless wheel?

Also I would guess that the billet wheels aren't really all that strong, considering the amount of material in them.

I would guess that the strongest setup would be to use 11/10g spokes, like the Worksmans or what some of the people around here have done with motorcycle spokes.

But even doing that just shifts the weakest spot from the spokes, to the hub.

I have a Worksman I cut up for my motorbike, and the 11g spokes are great but the hub is a regular Shimano 3-speed. The flange that the spokes hook into is no thicker than normal, and they drilled the spoke holes bigger to get the monster spokes in.... And the wheel's bearings are no bigger than usual either....

I can't remember right off, but if I'm remembering the same ones, they cost like $1200 each. Per wheel.

here's one place, no prices listed: http://www.warlordcycles.com/choppercycles.htm

here's another, they want $400-$700 per wheel for 26's: http://www.quickspeed.us/home.php?cat=60

Search google for "billet bicycle wheels".

Ouch, that's pricey! Thanks for the links. Don't know much about the composite wheels, but what I've seen they are FAR superior to any spoke rim. The only advantage to spoke rims, that I see, is if you want to run a stock 'happy' motor setup with the bolt-on sprocket.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've seen is that Worksman is just indunstrial grade like husky (https://www.huskybicycles.com/index.html) that don't use any larger than 12g spokes.

WOAH! That bike is a 26 inch? You know those tuff wheels come in 24 inch.

First glance it looked like an old school schwinn.

That sucks too, because most adult bikes are 26 inch! WTF is wrong with them??? If they made the 26" they would get my business.

Plastic rims are the best, and I will not stop until I can find a strong plastic 26 inch rim. I'm tired of warping metal rims.

I built a 6.5HP trike with 20 inch plastic rims, and they are GREAT! Why not make a 26 inch???
