Felt 2009 Cruisers have lost the plot

Take a look at this pathetic offering on Felt's international website for their 2009 cruiser range.

They've really lost it with these 2009 bikes and are still fixated on coaster brakes and no front brake. I think the US market still has access to a big range but if you live outside of the US you aint got much to choose from.

As someone from outside the USA market, we really need bikes like the kulana moon dog or schwinn point beach. Cheap, solid, front and rear V brakes and confortable riding position. The only beach cruisers on sale over here are sold by pretentious shops at over inflated prices.

Yes BSA, in Oz we call it the tyranny of distance. The Felt importer takes the prize for greed with some models marked up 300% above MRSP.

haha...i dunno. i'm actually eyeballin' the 1903 model pretty hard.....

Beaut bike but without front brakes it's a pain in the proverbial. Anyway it's not on offer on the international market.

I cannot say I'd agree with you. I just picked up a new Kulana MD and at a clearance price of US$69 at WMart and even at that price I'm bringing it back.

I'd read so much about how they were decent bikes but all I can say is I would not even ride the thing without a motor not less motorizing it. Bad welds(I mean very bad-like something a 10 year old would do), warped rims, very chintzy drive train and brake components. Really, just junk, and with the bad welding not worth the time and expense of re-doing the the whole thing.
