yes - the old turkey baster

I did squirt some fuel into the intake using a turkey baster it starts up fine then dies in 4- 5 min.

sounds like -- you are getting some gas through the carb

because with a squirt of gas from a turkey baster
it wouldn't run 4-5 min

-- - possible gas restriction somewhere

Thanks motormac. the screen filter was clog with s*** now its flowing freely but now the carb is leaky.

Great!! that was the whole problem!! Ok now throw that little screen in the garbage and get a very small inline gas filter from the lawnmower shop or Walmart or Home Depot and put that on before you even think of starting the engine.Ok where is the gas leaking from? the air filter? the fuel bowl? the fuel line? look very closely and get back to me and we can go from there.. Its leaking out of the air intake and the fuel bowl, even though i didnt even disasemble it.

Is the CNS Carburetor from spoookytoothcycles.com any good? im thinking of buying one.

Mine was doing that too, the fork tailed shut off valve in the float bowl wasn't shutting off when it came in contact with the float. So I took my two fingers and bent them down just a little so it would make contact sooner. That stopped the overflowing problem.

Thats an easy fix Rowenj, take off the fuel bowl, theres 2 screws holding it on, you will see a white plastic donut in the bowl thats the float,, ok look up into the bottom of the carb you will see a U shaped prong, just bend down the 2 ends of the prong (VERY GENTLY)!!! about 1/8 inch, now put the fuel bowl back on and see if it stops the leak. It should fire right up!! But get that inline filter in BEFORE you start it otherwise you will have even more problems!..you dont need a new carb this is good learning for you...
