Tom's Bike got JACKED!!!!!

how did it happened??? was it a grab and ride? or a grab and throw kind of deal...sorry for making you tell us the story.

Its sad, you say this bike started it all?? plz elaborate a little....

that blows. i saw tom's ad on my local craigslist. he says that it has a krypton lock on the back wheel and the frame is cracked. theives are brainiacs.
i lost the key to one of those locks, its not easy to get off without the key. i dont think he will be riding far. hope you get your bike back tom. dont worry karma will take care of the theif.

This is Bull****!!! Cattle rustlers, horse thieves, and the like are lower than a dirty rattler hiding in the grass.
There is a code that men must follow- the Man Rules:
You don't F with a man's ride,
You don't mess with a man's Dog,
You don't mess with his hat,
You don't mess with his leather,
don't mess with his coffee,
and you don't mess with his girl.
In that order.
To break that code is to bring **** on earth down upon one's self.
I'm not generaly a violent person, but...
"Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the Black Flag, and begin to slit throats."
H.L. Menken

Tom, Should you need help getting another ride together let us know, I'm sure I speak for the majority when I say we will all pitch in with parts and help.

This brings back that old feeling of WTF from when my wife's MB was stolen last year. I'm sorry to hear about anyone's ride being stolen. As other have said, anything I can do to help...

Alright Tom what drivetrain, frame, components, etc. do you want to look at for the second bike?

shucks, tom.

thats too bad. i havent had a MB stolen (a few regular bikes, though), but i imagine i'd feel pretty sick.

we're gonna have to hang a MB thief, to set an example.

to others living in an apartment: bring it inside. living in tucson, i carried my bike up and down the stairs all day and night.

good luck, sir.

I not only take mine inside, I put locks on both wheels! If someone takes it, I shouldn't have to look too far to find a guy rolling on the ground with a hernia

I'm with you guys. Tom, if there is anything I can help with a new build, any parts, etc. just let me know. Also, I wish I could get my hands on the miscreant who stole the bike. I'd give him a running start of five seconds, then -
