I finally finished my 80cc 2 stroke. I ported the manifolds and left the head alone. I figured i needed all the power i could get. I got it plenty . The motor only seems to come into it's own at 10mph and above. I'm using the 44 sprocket on fat MB slicks, the ngk plug is fine, and the carb is stock, and i upgraded the plug wire. Any idea how i can tune the throttle on this Unbroken Motor ?

Experiment with the carby needle(on the carby slide) & see which position it runs best(probably second notch from bottom)
The needle alters the fuel richness....it's not the ultimate guide cos once these engines are broken-in they behave different;better, more consistant.

I swallowed my fear and dug into the carby needle. It was one notch above the second so i lowered it. I'm happy to report an improvement in throttle quality below 15mph.

Very good...a little confidence goes a long way.
