horn question

How about a SLA battery in one of those underseat tool pouches with a small car horn and a switch inline?


11.1 volt 2800mah Lipo might be a better choice if you went that way ALOT lighter & smaller would fit up under a seat easier i think wouldn't it? ;-) Good idea though.... very good idea actually....heads off to search for 48 volt to 12 volt converter LoL

Mine runs a 3w Cree headlight, red LED taillight and a car horn (whuch runs off the kill button on the throttle).

In my area to be able to ride my mb on the street i have to have under 50cc, headlight, horn, rear red light, reflector and muffler.

I have everything except the horn, I am looking for ideas on what you guys have used

I'd recommend one of the air horns for bicycles - the air bottle is plastic and is filled by a tyre pump and it is incredibly loud. They retail in bike shops for about $40 US. Expensive for what they are but they are very loud. Louder than a car horn. They don't include enough hose to reach from the bottle to the horn if you mount the bottle behind the saddle - they assume the bottle goes on the downtube but that's where you engine is.
