My newest bike

I found this old build on my local craigslist the other day, got it from the guy for $80

the original owner said the build was about 3 years old or so and has a bunch of miles on it, and it had been sitting in his garage for a year (WITH FUEL IN IT!!)

It needs a CDI, spark plug and fuel line. luckily my main ride was willing to offer up the parts for the "new guy" I stuck them on and went for a ride.

initially the bike was slow to turn over, but it sounded and felt like it wanted to so bad, so i dropped the clutch and pedaled my butt off, it fired and i was able to make it to the end of the street and back

a few points i need to work on, it does not idle, at all, so i will be pulling the carb and giving it a super good cleaning

new parts should be here by tuesday or wednesday.

i think i may have fried the donor CDI, the bike would not fire today so i pulled the plug and laid it on the engine block and rolled the bike, no spark any suggestions??

I'm not sure what you mean... i don't have any specs on the bike i have been focused on the mechanics of the engine...

a lugged frame is one that has cap like parts (the lugs) that the tubes slide into and are usually brazed, rather than just butt welds connecting the tubes

mostly old school bikes and high $$ road bikes use lugs
(please don't hesitate to correct me if I am wrong guys)

lol not at all, but there are a few guys at work that are super hard core road bikers, ill ask them tomorrow and then save you the trouble of trying to explain this without being able to speak to me

yes, the bike is lugged, i asked these guys here at work and they said yes.

The new bike is Kick***. I cant decide if my next one will be Racer style or a chopper.

Nice! Reminds me of my first 2 stroke build except I didn't have upside down handlebars and the bike was white with a rear rack but pretty much the same type of frame and fork tho also didn't have fenders. Sold it for parts after it broke down to badly to be worth fixing. Now I'm waiting on a 49cc 4 stroke kit for my cruiser I'm motorizing.
