Ok allegedly Im supposed to get 100 to 150 MPG, HA! I just reset my speedo on the last gallon, and I ended up getting 64.5 MPG!!!
Am I doing something wrong? I relize I wasted about 1/2 oz of gas when I cut the gas line to install a inline filter, but that much LESS?!

Also I have my needle set at the second from the top position (4 notches for mine)

Is this normal? From what Ive read, i dont think it is

No, I don't think that's right. You ought to do better than that.

When I measured my mileage (49cc, two stroke, chain drive) I got 144 mpg. (give or take little)

But I'm at a loss to explain this difference. Maybe not quite. You're not losing fuel slowly around the carburetor or anything like that, are you? And the engine is running normally? No fuel dripping out of the exhaust. I imagine you've already checked obvious stuff like that, though.

Someone will come along with some better suggestions. Good luck.

ok I just moved the e-clip on the needle valve to the highest setting (1 more up) and I get 1000 times better performance, SPEED at last...WOW! 29.2 Mph! now I need a new sprocket and a tire, since my rear break ate the sidewall :(

I wouldn't have thought that one needle setting would make a huge fuel economy difference.

but if you're getting noticeably better performance, then it does suggest that you're onto something.

we shall see, I should know my MPG by wedsday or so next week if not sooner. Ya a 7 Mph increase for 1 needle setting, all I got to say is wow, somethings different!

NO! you take it apart, there is an e-clip you can adjust up or down....which goes in this cylender thingie, to which a spring sits atop and your caable is connected to
