hey guys. i drive a 80cc 2 stroke. its been running all fine and dandy since i got it however. the other day, i took it out, and i got half way to my destination and it just slowly wound down and shut off. i checked the fuel, and it was full. it tried going again... and the engine immediately started to putter, and shut down again.

i took it home, and have done everything possible to the engine and it wont start. i've replaced the spark plugs, i've cleaned the air and gas filters out. i cleaned the bowl out, and there was nothing there. i've tried heating up the spark plug first, and then putting it in, and trying to start. and every time it starts to go... but i dont get any sort of umph out of it. infact when i throttle it make the engine run slower and fizzle out quicker.

i've replaced the gas and remixed it. thought it was ****ty gas i was buying so i bought octane and mixed it. again... NOTHING. anybody got any ideas.

sounds l ike your carburetor might be too set too rich. The adjsutment screw might have vibrated out.

Maybe the coil. They will sometimes die when warmed up and start working again after cooling off.
