Nice bike, I put a basket on the end of my bike, and an esky on my electric.
am thinking of replacing the basket with a large plastic box.

Do you find that extra weight at the back makes any difference
to bike handling ?

I don't mean to detract from your thread, those pics are nice.

not at all, the box weighs less than a lb. i would never fill it with alot of weight tho because its up too high i did the toolbox mainly for looks and to have a little spot to put stuff if i need to (mix oil, plugs, my smokes the usual stuff haha)
i think ill pick up a couple ammo boxes to mount up front on the forks, saw it on the happytime website i think!

I love the cleanliness of it, the police are less likely to stop you with it looking that way. I have a white wall all chrome frame & springer front end that I bought from Spookytooth and I haven't been stopped yet and here the cops know nothing about the legality of their use. I'm not saying that if your ride looks homemade and dirty that the cops will stop you, but the cleanliness helps in that respect.

police only spoke to me once. i think she was intrigued more than "ready to ticket" all she did as suggest i wear a helmet. which i DONT. because i dont have to HOWEVER....
i had my first biker's near miss today trying to take a right some ******* in a big bad charger locked up the brakes and i had just enough time to get out of the way. our mirrors touched..... close one.

Ok, I'm probably posting this in the wrong spot, but at least I'm getting it out there...
But,

I did put the large Plastic box on the back on my bike.

It will releive my back of carrying back-pack weight, but now the bike has
a definite wobble at low speeds, and clunks when I go over bumps...

Even these two are worth the trade off against getting a bad back.
Question is, how to stabilise an unstable object ?

I'm going to start a new post for that...

do you have a pic of the box mounted up? mine clunks too but. hey. its a toolbox your definitley right the tradeoff is by far worth it.

not sure about the wobble that sounds more like a bearing looseness issue to me, mine loosen off every litre of gas or so.
