Lieutenant Kelly Anderson
I recently bought a very small gas engine for my
bicycle 1.6 horsepower aprox. speed 20 mph
It is to my understanding from reading the DMV
handbook in regards to motorized bicycles
that I can ride WITHOUT A CALIF. DRIVERS LICENSE
is this correct ?
Have a blessed day, Bob B

Mr. B, I checked with one of our traffic officers in regards to your question. You are correct in the fact that you can ride your bike with the motor attached without a driver’s license. You still have the same rules and regulations that bicycles have to follow and other then that you are good to go. Thanks, Lt. Anderson
