for going off topic ???

i'm aware of the incident, i read and can deduce..."bordeline" on whether a vendor should bother himself with a topic about another vendor's product, it wasn't worth it, i think we all see that now. geez...there were other points could have been given, a borderline call...but a mere OT infraction, that was pretty nice of admin i think, and fair imo.

once yer selling, you should find a way to bite yer tongue a little more than you may be used to. rules here, common sense in real-life.

remember when we early few struggled against being pushed around & used by certain sellers?

c'mon, dude, we've never been very popular about being so hard-core, but we get the job done...so how about a lil' love for what you and i AND davo built together?

Hijacking a thread is the sort of behavior that we want to stop. We could have used a different infraction, but like Augie says, a mere OT infraction was being nice.

I still don't understand why you immediately assume it was SrDavo?

What infraction would be considered "not being nice?"
What is the real reason he received an infraction. Thats what Bill is asking. Answer the question. Don't just duck the question.

past experience (recent past) with Dave led to that assumption (very anti-EZM)
a question was asked regarding legalities, if that is perceived as hijacking...that's your call

I am done with this argument

now, to go OT in my own thread...

if anyone wants a medium T-shirt (litely worn)...e-mail me and I will send it for the cost of shipping
I no longer feel like advertising, nor do I recommend, this site to people asking me for info
if no takers...it becomes a rag to clean my bike

now see? that's what i meant about company image.

I am posting this as a member (remember what being a member is?)
I DO NOT represent myself as the company
nor have I ever said I did
if I cannot speak my opinion, as a member, what is this site about ?

what I say reflects my own personal opinions, asking questions about what I see, is my choice
Just because I can sell something does not make what I see any different

I have said nothing dis-respectfull to you aug, I would like to keep it that way

I did not jump on any of your threads, so, why are you arguing with me

mostly, I started this thread so others could see how petty it is behind the scenes
(ignore the man behind the curtain)

not sure if I will be back, so any comments could be wasted

Stick around Bill

ENO (Oz)..Mate, with 3602 posts you have given out a lot of advice, information and help..Youre always buzzin round somewhere helping someone, especially the newbies...As grandpas we are able to ignore the "kids" who play up and reward the ones who are focused and having a good time. Let the boss keep a "Naughty File" and unless it means youre kept in after school lets go out and play on our bikes..They need you more than you need them and some of those silly and inconsistent "rules"..Stick around..Australia needs you..ENO

not jumping only replying

ok, then...seeing ya go because of this doesn't make sense to those who worked with you. i hope you do believe that i'm happy you have something going.

20 Points: Vendor promotion outside Vendor Area

Look at vendor rule #3:

3. Vendors may not bash competitors.

Hijacking a competitor's thread and questioning its legality is clearly "Bashing" especially in their own thread!

Again, as a VENDOR, you have additional responsibilities and rules that you must be very careful to follow. Since all vendors have a vested monetary interested in selling their products, they need to watch what they say very carefully as to make sure they do not allow anyone to misinterpret the meaning of their posts. If there is a subject that cannot be discussed without risking misinterpretation, it is their responsibility as a vendor to avoid that topic.

What is the real reason he received an infraction. Thats what Bill is asking. Answer the question. Don't just duck the question.

Not sure how you consider this to be "ducking the question". Please refer to my previous statements:

We want to make sure that threads stay on-topic to respect the original poster.

When people post completely off-topic replies, the board becomes disorganized, it creates work for the moddies (splitting threads), and people get upset.

Hijacking a thread is the sort of behavior that we want to stop
