I'm not a dealer for EZMotorbike just a very happy customer. If your unhappy with your present system and are tired of replacing inferior product this will get you smiling on you motored bike again. I put this system on a Harbor Freight $99.00 79cc 4 stroke with the limiter removed and it winds up grabs and it goes. Twist the throttle and move forward doesnt get any simpler. I had to drill four new holes for the mounting plate but it bolts right on many motores without any modification HS, Honda and others.
1. mount your motor in the triange
2. align your chain and sprocket( enough tention as to not jump off)
3. hookup throttle
4. brakes are working
5. start motor twist throttle and smile

That looks good! You have darn near the same bicycle as I have too.
Looking at how the left side pedal crank arm is bent waaay out to clear the reduction drive, how comfortable is it to pedal?
Also, it looks to be bent twice. Did you have to do that yourself, or did it come with the kit?

The Q-Matic drive is what I started with. You can get kit or drive stand alone. Yes I took a torch to the pedals and it works fine, not that I pedal to much but they are there if you need them. I put a wet rag as not to heat up and melt the grease out of it. Put a pipe where it need a bend one tweek down low and another out at the end. The one under the drive box I didn't have to touch I matched the other side. I also did many other modifications to the bike that I didnt list. I was pointing out the simplicity of it all. If someone has a setup already to go then the simple install of drive and a few adjustment chain and sprocket and away you go.
The motor is great it's kind of a throw away if it fails 99.00 bucks will get you another. If I didn't purchase the motor ahead of time I would have just purchased a Haugh Sheng it will fit in almost any triangle. Anything for me over 35mph is a hazard on a bicycle.

Thankyou for the information!
Any steep hills in your neck of the woods?
My biggest concern is hill climbing ability.
I have only heard that they do fairly well from one person, azbill.
I am not trying to step on anyone's toes here, just looking for a second opinion. :)

Rustico...if your not an EZM dealer how did u get hold of a standalone Q-Matic?

BTW..great looking bike & i bet those extra 30cc's come-in rather handy.

Lou, it sticks out about five inches. Here's a shot of bike Jim and I built with the HF engine, and you can see it sticks out a good bit. We even have to move it about 3/8" farther to the right for best chain alignment.

Motor Switch

I decided to put one of the motors that comes with the full kits on the Sun Atlas Q-Matic now with a Haugh Sheng motor. The Harbor Freight is a tough motor with lots of torque and plenty of climbing ability, but I decided to go with what the Q-Matic was tested on. I rode one of the protypes in Delaware and I think I made my switch out in my small mind there. Just toke a little while to get stuff together. It will rev up to 7500rpm's or better after breakin and supply the 30 to 35 mph cruise without maxing it out at that speed. I had the switch done in a couple of hrs. I need to hook up exhaust and figure out how I'm going to finish motor mount( I need to redrill or weld a small plate and redrill the two front holes for motor).
