I just wanted to know if it is neccessary to remove the screen attached to the petcook that goes in the fuel tank if you use the sbp fuel filter??

I only use the inline filter from sick bikes. Don't need much else. Might as well Just get rid of the stock petcock and the screens that come with them.... they are garbage.

Did you get the sick bikes petcock too... its WAAAAY better than the one that comes with the kit.

Did you clean the junk out of the fuel tank before you filled it with a fuel oil mix.
The metal screen will clog up with goo from the gas alcohol mix that is sometimes sold as e85 .
I just use a auto filter that will fit the fuel lines.
ACE hard ware also sells a cheap lawnmower filter.
Do use a fuel filter between the fuel tank and the carb.

thanx for you input gents! hey vee, why do you say the spb petcock is better? flows better or sumthing?

I could try to explain it with words but it would explain itself better if you saw the two of them next to each other.

It doesnt make sense to pay shipping for just the filter when you could get both for like $8 more.

E85 is 85% cornahol and 15% dino gas. The stuff we are getting in TX is 90% gas and 10% corn. Stuff runs good on it if its tuned, but carbs are hard to start in cold weather, and its causing lots of piston ring damage to cars.

So how are these bikes doing on the white lightning? Is this why so many people are playing with their jets and drill kits?

Lose the intank filter. Useless.

I'm on the second year (nearly third) of my SBP filter, there is some junk in it, but no signs of clogging! Way better than paper.

kewl mann fur sure! hey bro, you're probably gonna think this is a stupid question but hear me out. now usually you're supposed to install the fuel filter like described in the pic. I noticed that the side that the tank comes from has a hole and can get clogged where as the the other side works opposite of coure. wouldn't it be smarter to turn the fuel filter around so that hole to the sintered brass doesnt get clogged from the dirt in the tank?
