Since I put on cruiser bars, I am now happy that I am more upright, but I'm sitting to far forward to be comfortable.

I would like to find a long seat of some kind, that uses supports from the back like a rack does.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

All of the seats on the mini bikes that I have ever had were homemade out of plywood, nagahyde or old Levi's, foam cut out of an old couch cushion, and stapled together to the plywood from underneath. Easy to make and if you look hard enough, the parts are free!

That's what I figured, already having visions of the wood and metal involved. I've done it before. I just need to find some nice looking vinyl. I have the cushion material.

oh yeah, and the metal supports, that's the part I'm concerned about. I think punting means just buying a sturdy rack to start from...

You could modify a rack, or stronger yet, use a couple of eye bolts throgh the seat pan and some flat stock or tubing flattened on the ends. Bicycle luggage racks are not designed to support the weight of a person.

You can find them at most atv, mini, go cart suppliers. I found a wide selection of seats at rustyriders. Don't have the link but type rustyriders in your search bar and you'll find it.

Sketch....Why not just get a "banana seat" and a short sissy bar. Both available from Choppers US and Bicycle Designer.com or a myriad of other bicycle parts sites. Sure would be better than cobbled up plywood and levis.
