lining up engine

I am having trouble lining up the motor,my pedal crank hits the motor.

my bicycle is a 24" western flyer. do I have to change cranks?

How about telling us which motor you are using.

Go with a wider crank or heat & bend the one you have now so it clears the engine. Takes just a few minutes.

You could also try to move the engine a bit higher up, but that may require some "custom" mounting.
