Hi,

I want to use the 2,5hp Greyhound Mdl 97964 and mount on to the Felt MP Beach Cruiser.

All suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks.

I dont know much about welding but I know that the bike is all aluminum and you are gonna need a steel mounting plate.... may or may not be a problem.

I also know you can buy a pre-fabbed mounting plate made for a mini bike that should work from baddaug on ebay.

Dont know if that helps or not.

iirc, there was somebody who bought/made a two part alloy or steel sleeve, to fit outside the aluminum post....then painted it, just so he could use the alum'd design.

(I think it was a Land of Oz or Kiwi brainchild that worked, just like a Mad Max special effect.)

Good luck, (& don't drill any holes in that tube !!!)

get in touch with Jim at creative engineering for mounting plate to fit that felt...above post correct ..ddont drill holes in alumn frames for mounting motors.

Just curious about why. If the hole is small does it really weaken it that much?
I deleted my previous posts.....My frame is not Aluminum. It said it was but a magnet will stick to it.
