I see that you edited and changed your original 'crankshaft' reference to 'jackaxle' in post #1 - makes more sense, you had me scratching my head for a bit.

Out of pure interest, what sort of freewheel setup, if any, do you plan for the RHS?

Hey yep, sorry about that must've had crankshafts on my mind

I am using a pocket bike 49cc cag motor, which are a bit too big (in my opinion, it has been done) to mount to the frame, so I am going for a rack mount, so no right hand sided stuff. As you would know most rack mounts lean to one side, but with this small jackshaft I guess, in theory, it would be more evenly distributed as I would be able to centralise the motor and still be able to align the gears.

Aha, I thought you were making a DIY shift-kit.

No, I didn't realise that most rack-mounts lean to one side, never thought about it. Makes sense.
