I want to buy this engine on http://tewarehouse.com/GX35-S3 but it says it comes with no clutch drum would I need the clutch drum to use it with the GEBE system, I tried to contact the guy on here selling the Subaru Robins but have not heard from him so figured I will go with this one.

Thanks

Do you think this engine is as good as the Subaru Robin 35cc or does anyone have anything better in the 4 stroke mini's

gx35 is too big for a rack mount... I think it will work but it will look hideous and be off balance in regards to weight.

the eho35 is a much better choice for the GEBE system. The gx35 works much better as a frame mount with a sbp jackshaft and a grubee stage 3 gearbox.

I have both. Eho35 is the best 4 stroke mini you can get.

I thought the honda and the Subaru were about the same size and the Honda 50cc was way to big, so I am glad you pointed that out to me. Now to find a Eh035 at a decent price or should I just say to heck with it and buy the complete unit fron GEBE

I ordered mine with the engine....

I have also ordered other kits and aquired the engine seperately. Either way seems to be just about the same effort reletive to some of the other kits out there... Most likely if you go that route you will have to connect the kill wire, intsall the clutch, and possibly the gas tank yourself.

silvaire had some eho35's he was selling cheap, but they didnt have gas tanks. So to answer your question, if you can find one cheap it might be worth the effort. But if the money isnt an isue the completed GEBE kit was almost bolt on ready to go. I think it took less than 30 minutes and I havent had to adjust or tinker with anything. I added an auxilery fuel tank and an ammo can for storage and havnt done anything else since. I change the oil about every 10 hours of use, and I havnt had a problem with the engine in almost 2000 miles. Starts up on the second pull every time. I like the motor so much I have built 4 different bikes using the eho35... wouldnt use anything else.

IMO, quality wise it's a toss up. You won't go wrong with either engine.

I run Robin 4 stroke engines only because of the wholesale nature of my purchasing. If it were Honda's for the same deal, I'd buy them.

TO ALL THE THREAD HIJACKERS, THIS IS A QUESTION ABOUT CLUTCH DRUMS NOT A DEBATE OVER OVER WHICH ENGINE IS BETTER THE HONDA OR THE SUBARU.
HIGH PRESSURE SALES HAVE NO PLACE HERE.
