Thanks for the link, but in all honesty if the decimal point in that price was slid over two places to the left, I'd have to debate between an incredible bargain and eatinfg for the next week.

Robin, I think you are thinking right. The Tomos appears to be a re-issue of a Puch (someone correct me if I am wrong). These were good machines and there is still a big following on them.
I am going to buy a basket case Puch this weekend. It has paperwork so eventually I will be using it. And my gas electric will soon become a customized Puch.
