ok i need some help with math ok so i have NOS octante boost
and the whole bottle treats 16 gallons and its 12 oz how many ounces per gallon is my question

You need to determine how many ounces per gallon
Simply divide
12 ounces divided by
16 gallons

12/16 or 3/4 ounces per gallon
(1 ounce equals 2 tablespoons)
2 tablespoons equals = 6 teaspoons (12 half teaspoons)
3/4 of 12= 9
9 half teaspoons or 4 1/2 teaspoons per gallon

What in the heck is purpose of adding octane boost to a low compression engine like your 2 stroke? It is a waste ..

ANSWER: NONE. Low compression HT engines run better and get better fuel economy the lowest octane you can find.

0 ounces per gallon sounds good to me too.
themotorbikeguy, you only need to use octane booster with a very high compression engine, to prevent pre-detonation.
These engines only have about a 6:1 compression ratio, so using octane booster will detract from your engine's performance.

16 gal = 128oz (in 1 gal) X 16 (amount to be treated) = 2,048 ounces
1 ounce of boost or 1/12 (contents in bottle) (2,048/12) = 170.66 ounces
170.66oz - 128 (oz in 1 gal) = 42.66 oz remaing
42.66 - 32 (ounces in a quart) = 10.66 ounces remaining
10.66 ounces / 8 (ounces in cup) = 1.33 cup
.33 of a cup = 2.66 approx

1/2 oz boost will treat
1 gallon + 1 quart + 1-1/3 cups of gas combined

128 (gal) + 32 (quart) + 8 (cup) + 2.66 ounces remaining = 170.66 ounces

OR... 12 (ounces of boost in bottle) divided by 16 (gallons of gas) = .75 (3/4) ounce of boost per gallon of gas

Choose which ever is easiest to mix..... That's math made simple.....
