My HT Cranbrick, AKA "Beach Breeze"

Say what you will about the Cranbrick- cheap does not have to look shoddy! Mind you- I stay on the asphalt, keep track of fasteners, seldom hold at full throttle, always plan and emergency escape, use the engine as third gear with me being first and second, keep up on lube and spark and all that good stuff... this thing has it soft. First time I rode it, I KNEW how fragile the silly thing is and drove it accordingly. I also noted that I have double tabs in front and back for fender support.
Those .50 caliber cans are off the back- too much weight. I am building a backrack out of an old CPU shell specifically to hold those Swede Medical Panniers that Sportsman's guide is selling for $20 a pop- they can hold six one gallon milk jugs apiece! I will have it that they quick release, I've been doing photos as I go- soon to be finished. The OD green doesn't really go with the cream/blue of the Cranbrick, but I will survive this calamity...

Fashion Federales are based out of Sacramento or New York City- either way, I am out of their juristiction. Besides, I have run afoul of them before- a troop of poorly organised cub scouts can hold them off with slingshots and spitwads. I measure my arsenal by the cord and my ammo by the pallet- my training was courtesy of your tax dollar and the oath I swore was to the constitution, not some limp-wrist designer in Paris. Haven't had moving targets in quite some time... bring 'em on...
Seriously, it would be a bit cooler were they like AF blue or similar... but as I stated, I will survive. I bought three of them that my eldest and his Mother might have such a thing on their bike (once I get them built) and am thinking about two more- one for when Dinklesquirt (the 8YO) gets his bike and the last to use as origionally intended. Now that I know how much fun and purpose these things are, next bike will be a Worksman/BTR...

Thank y'all kindly- FYI, the tank and chainguard are done in ACE Hardware 'Navajo White', 12 light coats on 600 wet/dry sanded prep. After cureing, I then layed down 5 coats of Turtle Wax. Gas has no effect. The Blue on the headlight is KRYLON FUSION in Navy Blue- I used the FUSION because the headlight is a PVC endcap. Soon I will be finishing the backrack- already have the latch/extention on it, need to stain/varnish as it is wood. The Swede medical panniers are easy on, easy off without the likelyhood of falling off during the ride. As stated, CHEAP doesn't have to be SHODDY!

I drink my coffe, HARSH, BLACK with a touch of MOLASSES... Ah HAIN'T no FLATLANDER!!! Mother's from the hills of Tennessee. But now, come Christmas, do an Americano with Mocha and a snort of Peppermint Schnapps and you've got what is commonly known as SGT. HOWARD'S SNOWSHOE.

ah man! i only had 9 more stamps on my 'buy 9 lattes get your tenth free' card. I should known, it was never attainable. Now if only i had a 12 yr single malt card... that 'shoe sounds like a good winter warmer, those are always fun to throw together with friends and fam. happy trails this winter with your cool scoot sarge

No doubt. I will doubtless be this winter re-vamping the rear wheel on the 'brick to alleviate the chain scuff issue, nothing more than panning it to the right and tweaking the rear frame out to the left with washers- see where it goes from there. Currently working on a rack for the new Panniers- look them up in general discussion
