The Great Whizzer Photo Thread

for the Whizzer file

here's my recently puchased Whizzer. It has an H engine, J controls, Schwinn S-4 frame, Smooth gas tank and dual exhaust. I know this only because I found this great forum.

dude! that looks exactly like my point beach cruiser!

Guys, thanks for adding your photos and comments to this thread! Let's keep building this photo archive.

Pineiroadrian, Whizzer USA is not importing motorbikes, and has not since 2008. The best place to try to find a Whizzer is on eBay or Craigslist. Once in a while one will pop up here in the Buy/Sell/Trade section. For best reliability in a modern Whizzer the concensus is to look for a 2005 or 2006 NE5. Fewer modifications typically need to be made to bikes from those two model years.

47 Whizzer

hope this works, first didn't. My recently acquired Whizzer has a H engine, 47? frame, newer twist grip controls, and a cool 1952 dual exhaust. I didn't quite know what I had but thanks to the good guys on this forum I now know.

Have lots of Whizzer [over 20], but will start with one of my favorites. 1950 Whizzer Pacemaker. 100% original. Won "Best Restored" senior division Portland, IN 2009. It also won first place "Best Restored" in the junior division, but don't remember the year.

Original "300" motor with German needle bearing crankshaft, Hi Compression head, tall oil breather, Carter carburetor, embossed tank, trigger compression release, Hall generator and headlight, Whizzer tail light, Whizzer model 270 automatic clutch, 24" wide rims [Schwinn double nurled], 5" Whizzer rear brake hub, Pacemaker rear stand, Pacemaker chain guard, Pacemaker front forks, Pacemaker front & rear fenders, and painted 1950 Whizzer red [maroon].

This bike is not only a show winner [over 25 first place wins], it is a rider!

Several on this forum have ridden this bike at various shows.

Will post additional Whizzers in the future.

Have fun,

I just love your Whizzer Quenton. I love Jroyse's one too but I'd love his twin exhaust on your bike. Your bike is by far the best in my extensive directory of whizzer pictures - the burgundy colour and pinstriping and the way the seat stays join the chain stays in a continuous loop. Back then they really knew how to do things well. Does that front light work from the engine and, if so, does it light up a dark road well?
I would give anything to own a bike like yours!

John thanks for the comments. The light works well and can light up the road for a long distance. The head light is driven by the Hall generator [above the belt guard], as is the tail light.

My Pacemaker is one of the best riding bikes in my collection. The Whizzer front forks, the extra wide seat [mounted on large springs], and longer frame, make for a really smooth ride.

Have fun,

Yes Quenton I noticed the saddle on those springs and the forks and the long wheelbase. The long wheelbase makes it very special. What is the top speed and the cruising speed?

Hi John,

Top speed is approx. 45 MPH. I normally ride it at 35 to 40 MPH. The 5" rear brake can do some serious stopping. It has the Bendix HD front hub which was stock, but no front brake. I would put a brake on the front, but it wouldn't be original. The spokes are .120s
and makes the ride very solid.

Have fun,

Helmutt American made Whizzers

I personally never owned an old Whizzer.. Just adored the history, and the Bikes them selves
I did believe that the modern replica bikes could be more appealing to a broader crowd if there was something new and exciting to move the Whizzer forward.. I did approach the Dallas based Co. in 2004 to no avail, they wanted something new, but said they were at the moment trying to stable out from the resent redesigned NE-5 replica bike costs.. By 2005 they did allow me to move forward on a new design.. So here's My 1st pedal start Whizzer Motorbike. with Air dam and forward foot pegs.HD kick stand, a One of a kind hand built by yours truly..
The 40 degree angle rake would've never been a final design feature, but just an out there, food for thought concept bike..
