wanted tanaka 40 power pipe

i used up about 6 gallons / maybe 700 miles, i know dennis, saidwe should have 1000 before installing high performance. were you able to get the get the 4700 muffler. cedarburg outdoor is the best place to buy parts for tanaka he can direct ship to you from the distributor. 47 muffler cost 45 + shipping. i bought my 40 engine from them, cost 315 with shipping. talk to adam. if you did get the 47 muffler, did it have a affect fo performance? how about noice level. i tried to look at you post and thread. i did not see any about the swap.
what upgrade have you done on your tanaka so far.

did i read it right that you live in chino. i live in san diego

according to dennis at gebe the muffler for the tan 47 will work as well. i ordered one from cedarburg outdoor ez, cost about 60. ordered hp carb form gebe cost 80,per dennis ,bike should hit between 38 to 42, its enough for me.curently doing about 33 on flats. engine has about 700 miles. planning to use speed on occasions average cruising about 28 to 32.
will keep posted when i get the kit

I have the power pack kit I would consider selling you. I really don't want to sell just the pipe.
I bought the kit brand new and it stayed in the package until I built up the mileage on my tanaka engine. Near the end of the summer this year I installed the carb and air filter and used it maybe 4 times. The pipe hasn't been on the bike yet.
I paid $190.00 plus tax for the kit and would take a $50 hit on it and sell it for $140 if your interested. I think that's a fair deal. I was thinking about selling my bike with the kit and all the extras which is why I logged in this morning but if I can sell this it would help. I'll just put the old carb and filter back on and keep the bike for a while.

I can send you pictures of everything I have (including the receipt) if you're interested.

Since I am not good at troubleshooting issues, I called a small engine mechanic who seems to think it is an adjustment issue with the fuel flow. I didn't want to mess with adjusting the screws because I heard horror stories about going too lean. Another guy told me that the carb is probably putting more fuel into the engine than it can handle which would cause it behave like it was flooded when starting it when warm. I made plans to take it to the first guy because he sounded more knowledgeable but I haven't done so yet (for $ reasons) and I didn't want to put the pipe on until that issue was resolved.
It is definately something I am doing wrong. The parts are in excellent condition. If you're weary of buying it I would understand but if you're comfortable making adjustments to a carb, I would not shy away from it. It runs fine, it just doesn't like to start right away following a ride.

Wanted Tanaka 40 Performance Pack

Wanted Tanaka 40 Performance Pack ,includes hp carb, performance pipe, juice box, air filter. If its not complete let me know whick is missing. Im still interested.

Let me know if you guys find a way to quieten your Tanaka engines. Both my 47R engines are LOUD, even with original muffler.

One day, I'll install an ebay $17 Tanaka kart pipe ORRR adapt an HT expansion pipe to it. The HT pipe REALLY quieted down my GP460 engine, more so than its original muffler.
