I am installing a 2 stroke engine from bikemotorkit.com. When I tried to put the throttle on the handlbar, I loosened the screws to slide it on and it came apart. After I put it back together, the throttle now is loose and turns freely in a complete circle 360 degrees. Did a piece fall out that I am not aware of? What else could be the problem?

hi

did u drill a 5mm hole 125 in on right .

if u take throttle apart u should see a lug that stops the assembly from spinning loose like u seem to of done .

THEN plan on the cable braking from repeated flexure the lead plug. After my second throttle cable i got a proFESSHional throttle ;>) with pulley from
S.B.P. , a well engineered piece of MACHINERYY.I ride several times a week , some trips over 35 miles. the factory throttle just plain wont hold up.

Be Sure to libriocate the cable

I don't know what kind of throttles and cables you guys are working with, but i have the stock throttle on both of my bikes and they have both been fine for going on 2 years now.
proper installation, maintanace, and adjustment will make a stock throttle last.
