Has any one came up with a sproter for a MB??? I saw one that was made on biker build off a few years ago.

Sproter: Brake rotor with sproket teeth on outside. calliper must be made to go around chain and teeth and apply pads to inner part of sproter.:D

Please let me know what yall think.

Thought about it....never modified a caliper.

I think Andyinchville of Kings motorbikes was working on one to go with his top hat adapter. Don't know if he ever developed it.

There is a thread on here somewhere from about a year back, with pics of the concept implemented. As I recall it, the caliper was inside the chain loop, on the forward part of the sprotor where the chain does not run.

I have seen it done on show motorcycles. Never IRL.

The first thing I think of is,,,, you gotta LUBE your chain right? At least a little. And so what's going to happen when the chain lube runs down into where the brake pads grab,,, or the oil gets flung off onto the brake caliper....

Well, andy's top hat adapter would let you use a disc rotor right next to a sprocket.

Out at the other forum it looks like someone actually got it successfully done and said grease and oil was not an issue in the brake's performance.

You're using too much oil.

In fact, you're better off using grease than oil...

Grease doesn't fling [as much]!

I remember the old Brittish Motorcycles had a similar setup, I think it used a band brake,
rather than a disc. I don't see Greasy surfaces as a problem, the tight fit of the brake pads should simply push grease aside when pad hits rotor. Would you sell just the hub,
or a complete wheel ? How about a Plastic 5 spoke ? Or maby a Harley Fat Boy style
wheel [ Raw alloy casting, no machined holes ]

they use drum brakes
