I've been lurking here for awhile. just built my first bike. it's just a basic huffy hybrid bike running the zoombikes 66cc kit.

freaking loveing it so far.

finally got fed up enough on a topic that now i feel forced to join and provide my $0.02US

it'll be over at the green door. the gist is that you can built your own propane carb for a 4 stroke in about 2 hours.

Welcome to the forum. I had considered converting my 2 stroke to E85, but many told me that it would reduce my engine life significantly.

Yeah, the alcohol corrodes the heck out of aluminum and eats rubber seals and lines. Plus its significantly less fuel efficient AND its actually uses more fossil fuels to produce than just using straight gas.

Unless your building a performance engine there really is no upside to alcohol.

Here is a basic overview of how to convert a regular carb to run on propane.

Here is a place that sells the kit that you need. Should need a type 1 kit and I think it sells for 187. You have to run it on a 4 cycle engine because there is no way to mix oil in with propane.

E85 will not work on a 2 cyc. the alcohol washes all the oil lubricant of the cylinder walls and bearings. You will be lucky to make it thru one tank of gas before you trash your motor.
