So i went to my local motorized bike dealer and asked did he sell the boost bottles/nos kits.

And he had two different types, I asked him the differences between the two but he didn't know as he hasn't used them personally and hasn't heard feedback from people who have used them...

I have attached two pictures below of the boost bottles/nos kit, If anybody knows the difference between them. please let me know.

Top picture is a "Boost bottle" very basically they match the CC in the cylinder and air is forced into it, then drawn out during the intake stroke. Some say they work as intended others say no. As you can see I install them. Maybe they work as I match CC for CC..don't know.

The second is actually a NOS kit (the 5 bottles). NOS is sent from the small bottles into the intake manifold.

Below is a "Boost bottle" I made. It is matched to the CC of my engine.

Thanks Al, I like your design for a boost bottle, Do you sell them and can you ship to Australia?

Is it really NOS or compressed air? I've heard its not really NOS in them bottles?

Yes I can make them, other venders also do. Unless you have the tools (drill and taps) to tap your manifold, I would need yours (manifold), or order one/buy (extra), I don't have a extra one laying around. I use 1/8" pipe thread nipple in the manifold (ground down to be flush in the inside of the intake) and a 1/4" in the bottle. Each bottle is custom made to the engine as far as CC. If you can make one yourself I'd be more then happy to give you a complete list of materials needed. Shipped to Down Under... about $20.00

If they say it's NOS then it HAS to be NOS, not just compressed air. Read well.

Boy do I need to change my sign on name...Al = Alabama + fisherman lol

I found this information on a NOS kit. Their picture looks like yours.

Description

Brand new complete Nitrous kit custom made to work for 48cc/66cc/80cc bicycle engine kits. This nitrous oxide kit will give you an extra boost of speed at the touch of a button. It is designed to be mounted on the intake system. Kit includes:

NOS dispenser with trigger lockout
Custom made velcro strap
3 x Zip Ties
Brass fittings
5 x 16 Gram Nitrous Tanks

How does Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS) work?

Combustion is basically igniting a mixture of oxygen and fuel in a combustion chamber with a sparkplug. The resulting explosion produces power. What happens is a nitrous oxide injection system pumps nitrous oxide into an engines intake system. the nitrous oxide breaks down into nitrogen and oxygen. The loose oxygen atom is burned together with the combustion. More oxygen = more power!

Disclaimer: ADDING A NITROUS OXIDE KIT IS CONSIDERED AN AFTERMARKET UPGRADE WHICH CAN MAKE BIKES UNSTABLE AT HIGH SPEEDS. SOME BICYCLES ARE NOT DESIGNED TO MAKE SPEEDS OVER 30MPH. ADDING ENGINES - AFTERMARKET PARTS TO BICYLES WILL EXCEED THE STRESS RATE THEREFORE CAUSING STRESS ON SOME PARTS WHICH CAN DAMAGE THE BICYCLE AT HIGH SPEEDS CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET AND USE GOOD JUDGEMENT.

a boost bottle has nothing inside of it, it's just an empty chamber.
the nos kit on the other hand, has nirous oxide filled cartriges, and the nitrous gets injected into the intake manifold under pressure.
