Just got a motorbike last weekend looking to use it as a commuter.

I'm looking to really get into building and maintaining these. I really like them.

Thanks! I was directed here from a small engine mechanic that sold me the motorbike. He has already changed this town in a sense that local enforcement respect people who ride motorbikes.

He told me, if a policeman stops you and asks, "What kind of bicycle goes 41 mpg?!", to reply, "A motorbike does!". And I would get off the hook even if going over speed limit carelessly.

These bikes are fun. Thanks for the welcome.

Well,

My motorbike broke this morning..

When I get up to speed and let go of the clutch the chain on the motor side locks; therefor, making the tire lock in place.

So much for commuting.. Can anyone help me out?

try this.... take out your spark plug & roll the bike forward, with the clutch released.
Does your tire roll, now?

I took the spark plug out and it still doesn't roll.

I followed the chain and gear system and took off the metal cover that covers where the chain meets the tiny gear up towards the engine. The gear won't budge at all if the clutch is not pulled in.

Could there be something stuck in the gears? What would cause this..
