Clutch HELP! bike wont click over to start

if he put straight gas in it, i doubt that he is knowledgeable enough to tear the engine apart and re-build it.
Nothing personal against you marky, but if you thought "ahh, it'll be ok with just gas and no oil" then you have no real knowledge of how a 2 stroke or any engine works for that matter.

Ok I unscrewd the 4 bolt by the spark plug and took the head off or I think its called the head. How do I get the piston out of the cylinder? Do I have to take more of the engine apart to do so?

No my buddy didn't put straight gas in I did. I don't know much about this kind of stuff but I am learning from trial and error lol I still had about a quarter tank so I didnt thing topping it off with gas would hurt. Boy was I wrong lol but ya my buddy is a gear head he was the first one in our group to get one if these bikes and he has built a few of these things so he Saud if I could wait till he was free he could rebuild it for ne I just don't gave time to wait

S.t.o.p.

STOP RIGHT THERE!!!. Motorpsycho is right. If you don't know how to pull a cylinder, One of the easiest things to do, Then you don't have the knowledge to rebuild your engine. PLEASE wait for your friend to help you.
BUT, if you insist on going further yourself, Now that you have the nuts off, and I assume the head off also. Simply pull the cylinder straight off. It might be stuck pretty good on the rings since you seized it up, so you might have to put some effort into it, but it will come off. Since yer gonna replace the cylinder anyway you can get quite agressive with it.(use a hammer). If you do get it off, THEN wait for your friend to let you know what parts your gonna need. If you got lucky, your lower unit is OK and all your gonna need is top end parts. at the very least your gonna need a top end gasket set, a piston, rings, wrist pin and bearings, and the cylinder. If your head didn't warp it should be OK. I've seized engines before and most of the time the head is fine. you can start by pricing the items I've listed. I use e-bay a lot couse it's easy. I also use the devil himself, also known as Boygofast,(an e-bay seller.) His parts are the cheapest around, but if theres a problem, good luck trying to get him to make it right. In fact, I'm having my very first problem with him right now. 99% of the time it all works out OK with him. BUT he sent me the wrong gaskets. We'll see if he makes it right. (I don't think he will.) Just shop around for the best deal on the parts you need. THEN get someone to help you put it together.
Good Luck,
Big Red.

Yeah Moto, I kinda agree with you, But the guy has to start learning sometime. A cheap little 2 stroke is a pretty good place to start. Whats the worst that could happen? He @$#&* it up and it don't run. He'll still learn from trying it. He already learned about the gas/oil mix, so he CAN learn, even if it's from F**k up's.

HOLY COW BATMAN, I've just had my mother freaking mind blown. I just finished posting to Motorpsycho about Mark rebuilding his engine, With a few comments about Boygofast included. I was checking my e-mail one last time before calling it a night, And you'll never guess, RICK from BGF e-mailed me, on a Sunday night, to ask me for my address so he could send me the right gaskets. He didn't ask for more money, just my address. Did he finally get a soul (and a heart) all of a sudden. He must be on his deathbed and trying to square things with God. Who knows whats up with him, I've heard so many horror stories about him I thought it was a lost cause about getting my gaskets. After all, it was only $10.00. Who woulda thunk.

yes you're right, he needs to learn somewhere and one of these engines is a great start. they are cheap to replace, and so are parts.
BUT, the thign is this could turn out to be one of those threads where a guy who doesn't know anything abotu engines tries to re-build one.
And then he deems them all peices of junk because he doesn't know what he's doing.
But i do agree that he needs to learn somewhere.
seriously tho, if it were me and i had no clue abotu engines, i'd just order a brand new engine and be done with it.
you can get a brand new complete engine for around $80.00, and be up & running in no time.
then i would save the seized engine as a learning tool.

ummm the prices have went UP or have you not checked in the past couple weeks.... topend rebuild kits are $60 plus shipping from www.gasbike.net

the hardest thing to rebuild one of these kits is getting the new circlips into the new piston
there is no timing chain or valves to set the backlash on....
the timing is preset....

order a new set of cylinder studs of www.sickbikeparts.com
grab a torque wrench from www.harborfreight.com one of the 3/8s or 1/4 inch drive torque headstuds to 12# of torque

if you have to you can drive the piston out of the cylinder using a chunk of wooden dowel thats 1inch round or so cut spacers from wood to put between block and cylinder

the more you drive the piston down in the cylinder the thicker you need to make your spacers

make note of where the little arrow on the piston points so you put it back togather
..oh and when you add straight gas to premix you change the ratio of the amount of oil to gas and leans it out so it goes....MELTDOWN AND BOOM...then you walk home or pedal when disconnect the chain

Yeah Ibedayank, He got thay one figured out.
And yes, you can use almost anything to drive the piston down. He's gonna hafta replace the piston anyway.

And that's why you're still the master  I had to almost quit thinking new engines as a first resort since I live in California. They are hard to get and expensive when you can get them. If he really can get an engine for $80.00, then that's the way to go. The part's to rebuild his, with shipping, would cost about that much anyway.
