A Real Fual Power Additive For Low Conpression Engines

0.2113376416 gallons of 87octane gasoline
0.0528344104 gallons of heptane
0.008453505664 gallons of caster or high grade 2 stoke oil
1 gallon of pee to make it taste better:sick: lol

Are us the same guy that always says t"tastes like sheet."
Now you are an expert on pee too.

I tried both and neither tastes good. I won't be adding heptane to my gas anytime soon.

Great info Narley one! In go-kart racing a lot of times you are required to run spec fuel. Often than not the spec fuel is race gas with a much higher octane than many of the lower compression (also spec) engines need to operate at their optimum performance levels. When we were racing little Italian 50cc 2 cycle engines with 7.5:1 compression ratio is where I first started experimenting with lowering the octane of the spec 98 octane leaded race gas using n-heptane. Adding just enough to lower the octane of the race gas down to 83-84 produced the best results, consistently yielding lower lap times by as much as 1/2 a second on 3/8 mile closed course. All thermodynamics and engine theory/design aside, the transponder timing/stopwatch doesn't lie. Back then I had access to neat n-heptane right from the tap. Where are you getting your heptane?

i buy brake cleaner in bulk and ie 150-200cans at a time at 300-400$ or 2$ a can anyways the gunk pro series break cleaner is pure heptane and co2
so you flip the can over in a vice and use a can opener to let the co2 out and then you cut the can open

If your talking about Gunk's M705 Pro Series Brake Cleaner I don't think it's 100% Heptane - 45-50% maybe? You may want to check out Bestine Solvent & Thinner if it's available in your area.

why?

Why don't you just buy it in lab grade. Its about $19 in the states or is Canada worried that you are starting a meth lab?

I checked the msds

The stuff you are buying has methanol and acetone in it. Heptane is probably less than 50% . Hey, its your motor . probably no harm and it probably will lower the octane like you wish , just not how I do things. I have used both methanol as a gas dryer (35 cent cans) and acetone nail polish remover to improve mileage , but not for what you are doing. At the low concentrations you are using it , it has no ill effects , but who knows which chemical is doing what.
Water injection of browns gas would do the same thing.

the brake cleaner i buy is pure and i have done burn tests in science class

its octane rating is 0

I found one brake cleaner

That is pure heptane. That was ac delco. Maybe Canada has more.
Why don't you just use diesel fuel conditioner. It will raise the cetane levels , effectively lowering the octane levels ,but I'm sure a budding Cannuck Chemist knows all about that one.
A lot cheaper and just as effective.
