I don't like the chrome too but it was the only one they had in stock that would ship to canada. Over the winter its going to be sand blasted and power coated flat black. :D

I like it man!
the only thing i would suggest is to get a longer spark plug wire and hide the cdi box down uner the engine to get it off of the front of the frame.
It looks out of place out there on the front of the frame like that in my opinion.

NO!!!!! DO NOT paint that frame flat black!!!!
ANYTHING but flat black.
next thing you know you'll paint the rims red and call it a rat rod bike!
PLEASE don't do that...the rat rod thing has been played out so much, it's now old.
PLEASE, just paint the bike a regular color, with glossy paint or just leave it chrome anmd re-paint the gas tank.
In my opinion, if you paint (or powder coat) that frame flat black, you will ruin the cool looks of the bike.

The "rat rod" look has been over done but way up here in the grate white north its never seen. Plus you can't argue with a "classic" look. From the start that was the road i wanted to go down but when i ordered the frame chrome was the only colour they had in stock and i got tired of waiting for an already flatblack/gloss black frame but we will see I'm also very fond of the idea of "bright blue or like and electric blue"

flat black is not classic!
If you go look at photos of hot rod cars from the 40's and 50's. NO ONE used flat black primer or black paint with a dulling agent in it.
the "rat rods" of today are FAR from traditional when it comes to hot rod cars (or bikes).
A lot of people have the misconception that back in the day, everyone painted their cars flat black and ran red wheels.
well, that trend became popular about 5 years ago and it seems that everyone thinks flat black and red are traditional colors.
I'm sorry, but i HATE flat black on anything !
you can take a 2005 chevy s-10 truck, paint it flat black with red wheels and all of the sudden, it becomes a hot rod to the owner.
do something original and do a custom glossy color on the frame and gas tank!

"To each his own" I love the flat black/red wheels look. I know over the winter it will be the way i decide to do it. I know i have some more parts i want to order and add on (chopper front end, disk breaks, chromed motor parts, custom exhaust, rear light, a few custom ideas i have yet to see on any other bike) I also have a few parts i am going to weld on and/or reinforce as well.
