two options for the moddified F/D im working on

thanks man! That was the only option i could see working.

The bearing has a retaining clip.

Acctually those holes are to access the mounting bolts easier, the plate im holding Is the mount location for the tank

I need a fuel return and the cables are on the top tube or id do a ht teardrop tank for sure.

When I ran my 460 engine w/HT tank, I simply plugged the return line.

My pal Rick did the same on his 460/HT tank.

My other pal's bike had cables on the top tube. He added lengths of cable housings where it ran under his HT tank.

I made the FD mount useable for my belt drive. I flipped it over and cut a large slot for the belt to pass thru. Ill have to modify the spindle to accept the drive gear but everything lines up. Ill post pics later.

17" sheave but I don't have a pinion for it yet :( I'm not sure what size to get or from what type of other application. The gebe one won't work without modification to both spindle and sprocket. I am thinking that a piece of belt epoxied to the spindle could work. If it does then the pinion will be about 7/8" maybe larger. When I flipped the mount the turnbuckles aren't long enough now and the one one the belt side had to go cause the belt was touching it. so i need a longer better quality turnbuckle on the engine side and that should be sufficient I hope, the only other option is to use some clamps on the frame down tubes to attach some strut straps similar to the axle mounted ones.

Looks FANTASTIC!

What size is the sheave, and what size is the small pulley?

Thanks man! I cut and widened that slot with a dremel! Do you know anyone with a gebe sprocket they can measure for me? I need to know what diameter the different teeth count sprockets are as well as inside diameter and width.

Ok ok where do i find a 4 L HT tank on the cheap? I want to put a basket on the other side of the rack mount for apperance and weight distribution. I guess im going to make a spacer and use the brake caliper mount tab to attach a strut too. I just cant bring myself to leave it one sided if not for strength for cosmetics.

A couple year's ago, I tried to do what you're doing now. I got some sprockets from an online site. When I drilled them to accept a .5" BMP driveshaft, there wasn't enough meat to notch the keyway. So I gave up the project in favor of a center/mount shift kit assembly.

Come to think of it, I shoulda welded the sprocket directly to the BMP shaft. Shafts and sprockets weren't that expensive, so I coulda made a couple with different gear sizes.

I forget where I got the sprockets, but you can google here or on the other website.

Throw out that question regarding GEBE size. Someone's bound to answer.

I asked that same question, so it's prolly in that same thread of mine.

I plan on just using a set screw and a shaft with a flat section, Instead of a keyway. I need to know how big the 13 and 14 teeth gebe sprockets are. The evo scooters use a 19-23 tooth 5m sprockets for their belt reduction setup so that is an option as well. Ill need the i/d to be no smaller than .59" with enough material left for a set screw " it should be easy if the 14 t is just over an inch in diameter " witch is what im hoping for. Im just going to use the moddified spindle ive got modded again to accept the gear.
