I bought a Chinese 2stroke from Lucky Early Bird.

I keep losing Woodruff Keys.
Could someone please tell me where I can find Woodruff Keys, & what size I'd need?

I couldn't find any Woodruff keys, those Half-Moon shaped slivers of metal needed to hold the Bevel Gear & Magneto Wheel in position...

Try Lowe's or Home Depot. I know they both sell them. If you don't have a good precise measuring devise, just buy several different sizes, they're cheap, take them home and hope at least one of them fits. You might also try a nut and bolt house as well. I've never had a problem finding them in my area.

I was in my local Harbor Freight today and they have a box of assorted sizes, 80 pieces total for $8.00

Someone on another board recommended that, so I made a b-line to my local HF & bought a box.

The only one that came close was the 3 x 5 12mm, and it was just a tad too thick.

Flat file, nail clippers & elbow grease.

Clip finger nails

hold with fingers

use file

check every now and then till it's a firm snug fit,
do not go too under size, or ya have to start again.
