Pull Start Broken pull start

It's going to be hard finding one in metal. I thought it might have been the Cag style where most replace with a metal housing. How about replacing with plastic again and use the electric starter? There's room for a key switch, small Li-ion battery and starter solenoid on that friction mount. Mount a push button switch on the handlebars and your in business.

how would i go about settin up the electric start i didnt even know this motor had that
 
That square metal box-shaped item between the pull starter and the engine is the electric starter, as I look at the picture you posted. It should be magnetized. A steel bolt should stick to it. There should be a thick wire coming out of it or it looks as if a cap is covering the hole - can't determine from the photo. Did you buy the engine new or from someone else? It's possible if you bought used that the starter went out and the previous owner cut the wire and placed a plug in the hole. You can still start the engines with the pull starter if the electric starter goes South.

I could be wrong, but it looks like you have an electric starter from what I see.
