Hey guys, I recently got a Spooky tooth (Skyhawk) chamber for my bike, I put it on and it is super loud! I was just woundering if anybody on here has any pics of one with a small or stock muffler on it to quiet it down a little.
It was a good power increase but a bit to loud for me personally..
Thanks Heaps Josh.

Making it quieter may also save your hearing. I am sure there are good methods out there but i know that SickBikeParts sell a muffler for their expansion chamber. Maybe it fits your system.

Thanks Fabian Just had a look at the Sick Bike Parts muffler an it looks perla for it! I've been on ebay an that looking for small mufflers but had not much luck. I'm going to order it next week.

Glad to be of any help, though there are many other people on here with fantastic technical knowledge or product advise or who can be of general assistance.

here's mine.
it's the spooky tooth chamber, with a stock muffler welded to the end.
Of corse, i modified the baffle in the muffler for better flow and I added a chrome turnout to the end of the muffler. I had to cut off the end of the muffler where the original pipe went into it. I had to contour and file the end of the muffler to fit over the chamber. I didn't just attach it to the little outlet pipe on the chamber, i slid the muffler over the end of the chamber. the whole thing is wrapped with header heat wrap to hide the weld.
oh by the way, it sounds really good too.

Wow that bike looks soo nice mate well done! And that is what I was thinking of doing but was going to use the little pipe on the chamber and extend it from there.
But that's closer to the chamber as that's what I want and it would most probly flow better? I've got an old stock muffler here I might give it a go =)
I'm going to order the sickbikeparts muffler first an see haw that goes first but ifnot Ill give it a go!
and was yours extremel loud without it? becouse mines all most unrideable!
Thanks Josh.

I must admit motorpsycho, your bike looks like a nice piece of work.

Help me out with an explanation of your chain tensioner which seems to work opposite to conventional theory - feed side rather than return side?

Oh and did you cut off that little pipe on the chamber when you welded the muffler over it or leave it on?

yes, i did cut that little nub of a pipe off of the chamber before i welded the muffler to it.

yes, it was loud without a muffler, and it actually runs better with the muffler than it did without it.

yeah, yeah....tons of people tell me that my chain tensioner is on the wrong side of the chain.
BUT, it's been on there that way for almost 3 years now and it does it's job.
Plus, it's got a spring pulling tension downwards on it, so it moves up & down with the chain.
