I like the mag and myster. BUT???? I have ask this Q. many times no one knows what the gap is btween the magnet and the magneto loop

I've seen sizes vary somewhat, which will make for different sized gaps, but it should be equal on top & bottom - also if it is very small, check that the armature legs of the stator haven't been 'pinched in' by dropping or being crushed a bit in shipping/handling - I like to see at least 8 thou here.

is that manufacture specs. here is a $5.00 trick I used a business card doubled up

8 thou is not an official spec - I just don't like to see something spinning that fast while that much vibration is going on without at least that much clearance
